HOWTO configure a rule to move suspected spam into your Junk E-mail folder This is written for MS Outlook but the basics apply to any email client Open Outlook and click on Tools, Rules and Alerts Click on New Rule..., select Start from a blank rule and NEXT Step 1: Select Condition(s) Scroll down until you see the line that says with specific words in the message header and click on that checkbox Step 2: Edit the rule description Click on specific words In the new box that pops up type X-Spam-Status: Yes and click Add, OK and then Next >
What do you want to do with this message? Step 1: Select action(s) Click on the checkbox next to the line that says move it to the specified folder Step 2: Edit the rule description Click on specified Select your Junk E-mail folder and click OK and then Next >
Are there any exceptions? Step 1: Select exceptions(s) Scroll down until you see the line that says except if sender is in specified address book and click on that checkbox Step 2: Edit the rule description Click on specified Select your Address list (usually Contacts) and click Add and then Next >
Click on Finish and you are Done |
